Five tips to improve your sales results immediately

There are many things you cannot control as a salesperson, for instance the market situation, buying power, trends and your competition are all things you can at best adjust to, but not have an impact on. However,  most important things that make up your presentation of you and your product can be changed, in many cases immediately. Here are several tips on how you can improve your selling skills immediately.

These tips were published by the HubSpot blog.

Set specific goals.

You must have heard it many times. There can be no success without plans and goals. But have you really changed your planning and behavior based on this advice? Set concrete goals and then split them into daily tasks. The more specific your plans are, the better.

Measure your success using data.

CRM systems and reports are not just a way for your supervisors to monitor you. Indicators such as success of sales calls, conversion rates, success within months and years are much more important. Know where your weaknesses are and work in a systemic way to get rid of them.

Learn the first 20 seconds of interactions by heart.

The very first seconds with the client are the most important ones. This is why you should know the beginnings of your calls and meetings by heart, without improvisation. Also, you should know the general outline of the script you should stick to, at least in a general fashion.

Learn to detect unsuitable clients.

Did you ever deal with someone too long and spent too much time on them before you found out that the lead is a dead end? Take those cases and find out what their common denominators are and what connects them, so that you can recognize these dead-end cases in time.

Ask for referrals.

It is surprising how many salespeople do not use this unique, yet simple sales technique that will help you get quality leads with high conversion rate with very little effort on your part. Ask your clients if they can recommend you to their acquaintances and business partners who could also use your services.
